How do I set Create Case Defaults?

Do you find yourself selecting or typing the same things when you create a case? You should probably set Create Case Defaults in your profile. Your selections will be automatically selected each time you create a case.

  1. Navigate to the My Profile section
  2. Click on the Create Case Defaults section
  3. Select the option from each drop-down that you would like each field to default to.

    Note: You will still be able to change these fields when creating a case, but they will default to whatever values you select. So choose the ones you use most often.
  4. Click Save in the bottom right corner.


If there is text that you often type into the Case Name (Subject) or Message fields, you may want to create a Custom Subject or Custom Message to save you time.
